Finn Slough is a small fishing village 20 kilometres or so south of the steel, glass and concrete of downtown Vancouver, on the Fraser River. It has a wonderful, rustic charm and can be incredibly photogenic. It’s not the kind of place that you’re likely to find in the tourist guidebooks, but I always make sure it’s somewhere I take guests with their cameras. (This time around, my friend Kiyoshi-san, from Yokohama.)
