Sorry for ruining your photo,” he said as he walked past on the narrow boardwalk.

Finn Slough  is a small fishing village 20 kilometres or so south of the steel, glass and concrete of downtown Vancouver, on the Fraser River. It has a wonderful, rustic charm and can be incredibly photogenic. It’s not the kind of place that you’re likely to find in the tourist guidebooks, but I always make sure it’s somewhere I take guests with their cameras. (This time around, my friend Kiyoshi-san, from Yokohama.)

Eric Flexyourhead is just a guy with camera, most certainly not a photographer! He shot this with his slightly-ancient Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF1 and Olympus m.Zuiko Digital 45mm f/1.8.
